Harvest Song launches individual size preserves for foodservice; new flavors
New York, NY (June 1, 2009) -- Harvest Song, passionate purveyors of artisanal exotic fruit preserves imported from Armenia, announces the introduction of a smaller size package designed to accompany breakfast at fine hotels and restaurants. The company is also introducing two new flavors: cherry berry and black currant.
The new serving size is a one-ounce individual service jar. It joins Harvest Song's line of specialty preserves in 18.9 oz. and 10.2 oz. sizes. All contain the same fine preserves made from fresh fruit harvests in Armenia.
The individual jar is in response to demand from restaurant clients, says Sylvia Tirakian, co-owner of Harvest Song. "Fine restaurants are welcoming the concept of using our award-winning preserves to compliment their highest level of quality cuisine," she says. We are in restaurants and hotels such as Daniel and The Carlyle in New York City.
Harvest Song's award-winning preserves are available online at www.harvestsongventures.com and in gourmet shops and supermarkets across the U.S. The company is in the process of becoming kosher certified, and will soon have the first kosher-certified products coming out of Armenia, Tirakian says.
Harvest Song is a privately held company founded in 2006. It is co-owned by Tirakian and James Tufenkian, owner of Tufenkian Carpets, a pioneering designer and supplier of handmade rugs from Armenia and Tibet. www.Tufenkian.com
The company's new flavors and new packages will be on display at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York (June 28 - 30, BOOTH 4540); IDDBA in Atlanta (June 7 - 9, BOOTH 3881) and the American Cheese Society's Festival Marketplace in Austin, Texas (Aug. 8).
