Artisanal Preserves from Harvest Song
With no artificial ingredients, Harvest Song's products taste just like the fruit they're made from-apricot, our favorite, is like taking the season's first bite of a perfectly ripe fruit, over and over. All the fruits, nuts, and flowers (there are walnut and tea rose varieties) in these products are grown by family farmers in Armenia. Harvests are inspected by company co-founder Sylvia Tirakian, who also formulates the recipes, and each jar is topped with handmade rice paper from Nepal- a truly international effort. Harvest Song's parent company, Tufenkian, has built a school, a hospital, and an irrigation system in Nepal and provides educational sponsorship for single parents and orphaned families in Armenia. Plus, if you mention Cottage Living, 10% of the proceeds will go to UNIFEM (unifem.org), the United Nations fund for women.
