Coup de Coeur: Favorite of the moment
Let's talk pleasure of savouring...
Are you still making your own jams? A couple of hours and the house is bathing in warm aromatic odors and what a pleasure to taste them. This activity is part of my ritual for back to school time. Yet it is no reason not to try jams made by others: the new all natural artisan jams of Harvest Songs come from Armenia and are full of divine flavours. The fruit are cultivated on high grounds in the Ararat valley where the soils have never had pesticides. The Apricot flavour won the the gold prize for best product in its category at the NASFT (National Association for Specialty Food Trade, NYC). $15.95 for a 300g jar, available from the following: online at www.epicureal.com, or from Charcuterie Jose Santos, 3855, Blvd Saint-Laurent, at Gourmet Laurier, 1042N avenue Laurier Ouest or at boutique Pasticceria San Marco, 1581 rue Jean Talon Est, Montreal.
